64 players make it into the tournament and they are placed in the draw depending on where they ranked in money earned from the 30 qualifying competitions. This is known as the Players Championships🗹 Order of Mer♏it and is based on the 30 Players Championship events during the season.
This method is differen🔜t from most tournaments,ౠ which use global ranking instead.

The first two rounds of the tournament are the best of 11 legs before the lasওt 16, and quarter-finals go up to the best of 19 legs. There have been just seven winners of the Players Championship since the event was created in 2009. The format has gone through a number of changes through the years but became a 64-player tournament in 2016. It has been held in Minehead every year since 2012 with the exception of 2020, when th🧔e event was held behind closed doors ✅in Coventry due to the pandemic.
